The Idea of Anand Vruddhashrams (The Free Old Age Homes)

When Tara Sansthan started out to organize eye camps in far-off villages, it was noticed that there were many helpless and poor old people who had no support from any quarter. So we decided to open an old age home for such aged people who are destitute, lonely and helpless – who either do not have any body in their family to care for them or who have a family but are not treated well and are insulted and humiliated.

Activities

Day to day and occasional activities are practiced in the sansthan to keep the residents entertained and happy.
The activities keep the environment of the facility lively and homely.

Our Infrastructure

Anand Vrudhashram has the capacity of accommodating 150 people in its 5 story building. There are 6 dormitories, 5 drawing rooms, one big kitchen and dining room for having meals.

Morning: Tea/Cofee/Milk, Break-fast

Two Meals (Lunch, Dinner):
Dal, One vegetable, rice, chapatti, curd

Evening: Tea, biscuit, seasonal fruit or light refreshment

Health

Frequent health check-ups of the residents of Anand Vrudhashram are assured by professional nurses. The residents are also provided with special treatments as per the requirements. Exercises and yoga are regularly practiced to make sure that the residents stay healthy.
